Overwhelming Attendances to SSD Alliance Exhibition at the JEDEC Flash Storage Summit in Taipei

(April 3, 2009) On April 2nd, over 400 visitors have attended JEDEC Flash Summit sessions and the SSD Alliance Member Exhibition at Grand Formosa Regent Hotel in Taipei. Mian Quddus, the Chairman of JEDEC Board of Directors along with a group of JEDEC Key speakers were applauded with their presence and information delivered by large turn out of audience from the Taiwan industry.

Joining the JEDEC sessions, SSD Alliance was also presented delivering information to the inquiries on its membership and the newly released SSD Compliance Certification Program. The exhibition features demo booths from 15 companies of SSDA members and its sponsors. (A-Data, Allion, Apacer, ASMedia, CoreSolid Storage, JMicron, KingSpec, Memoright Memoritech, Phison, PQI, Silicon Motion, SIPO, SSDA, and SST) The latest SSD solutions and products were introduced on the enterprise and consumer levels. "The overwhelming turn out of the crowd shows the SSD technology is bound to take its lead in the storage market." Said Jet Huang, the Vice Chair of SSD Alliance. "We believe the primary factor on the take off of SSD lies on its quality level and this is the common objective from both JEDEC and SSDA."

Before the closing session, 12 lucky winners from the registered attendees took home the flash pen drives as the prizes sponsored by Apacer and the SSD Alliance. Mian Quddus of JEDEC along with the SSD Alliance officers helped drawing out the lucky tickets from the draw box.
